Sharpen your equine therapy sessions with this game-changing technique – learn to identify synergistic relationships between neurologically strong and weak muscles, through indicator testing.
When synergy of motor control is not functionally effective, the system becomes unstable, either globally (eg. in general core/movement dysfunction) or very specifically, for example, in joint dysfunction.
Students learn to recognise patterns of dysfunction, and how to address these through a combination of manual release and static and dynamic re-activation techniques, to create optimal brain-body connections.
Discover why NKT® system is the missing link in your treatment protocol.
‘NKT is not a specific therapy technique, but an unmissable evaluative tool to make bodywork and treatments more specific in relation to brain function/motor control. Essentially NKT is a concept of testing of motor control function. Movement/function is restored using any of the soft-tissue/joint mobilisation/stretching/ROM/activation techniques in a specific sequence. So, physical therapy and wellness practitioners will be able to use their specific techniques once the NKT evaluation has been completed. The activation techniques (key in restoring motor control) are not used often enough – if at all – so this will be totally new to most students. Simple releasing is not sufficient in restoring motor movement patterns, so this is an essential component of the NKT class.’ Dr. Nicole Rombach – Course Lecturer.
A synopsis of the concept and benefits of the NKT animal courses was recently published in The Horse : Here The inaugural course was attended by veterinarians, bodyworkers, chiropractors and equine manual therapists, and had rave reviews on how it changed the practitioners’ approach to their work!
The class is open to any practitioner who is certified/licensed to work with animals. It is not open to owners, trainers, or riders. Unless the participants are veterinarians or Certified Equinology students, they need to take the online EQ50 anatomy course.

This is the EQ50 Equinology® Equine Anatomy Pre-course Distance Study, and this course is not included in the cost of the NKT® Equine course. The cost is $95.00 and should be a review for experienced practitioners. For more info click here.
Students will need to send proof of registration (screenshot of confirmation etc) to the NKT office.
Dr Nicole is working on putting together a similar introduction video for the animal work. We will put more details on the @equicanisafrica FB page as we get them.
If you are interested in learning more about NeroKinetic Therapy for us two-legged folk, in preparation for the course, then here’s some ideas for you.
