This course is designed for those individuals who have already participated in the EQ800: Foundations of Equine Acupressure – Level 1 class. In Level II, we’ll take a deeper dive into the theory and practice of Classical Chinese Medicine (CCM) for horses. This allows students to bring a more comprehensive understanding of CCM to bodywork sessions. Discussion of theoretical topics will be alternated with loads of hands-on time with the horses and discussion of live cases. Completion of the EQ800 and EQ810 (including externships) will prepare bodyworkers to seamlessly integrate acupressure and Classical Chinese Medicine into an existing equine bodywork practice. These skills will also benefit any equine professional from vets and vet techs to trainers, farriers, and riders. All students will walk away with a thorough foundation in the techniques and approaches that have benefitted horses in East Asia for thousands of years. The Level 1 and Level 2 classes are designed to be taken back-to-back or may be taken separately. This course runs from 9:00am-5:00pm daily with 30 minutes for lunch and 2.5 hours of evening studies.
