Our Equinology® certification programs range from 500+hours to 3000+hours and are presented in a modular format, with the total hours exceeding a two-year program. Each of the four progressive levels builds on the others, beginning with the Equinology® Equine Body Worker Level I (EEBW) certification and culminating in the Master Equinology® Equine Body Worker (MEEBW) certification.

In addition to these bodywork certifications, we also offer the Equinology® Equine Myofascial Release (EEMFR) qualification, the Equinology® Equine Acupressure (EEACU) qualification and the Equinology® Equine CranioSacral Therapy (EECST) qualification.

For those interested in canine bodywork, we offer the Caninology® Canine Body Worker Level I (CCBW) and Level II (CCBWII) certification programs, as well as the Caninology® Canine Myofascial Release (CCMFR) qualification.

Courses do not need to be taken in any order. If you see a course of interest in the Master level, you are welcome to attend as long as you meet the prerequisites. We welcome participants from other programs seeking continuing education, as well as those just beginning their studies or looking to enhance their current knowledge and skills. Prior to beginning any of the certification programs, students are encouraged to check with their state veterinary boards for existing laws of practice.

Equinology® Equine Body Worker Level I (EEBW)
500+ hours with distance study, classroom participation and externship
  • EQ50: Equine Anatomy Precourse Distance Study
Students must register for this course prior to joining the EQ100 onsite course (optional for veterinarians). Students should allow a minimum of 100 hours to review this course.
  • NLLA: Narrated Lectures and Learning Activities
Upon registration for the EQ100 onsite course, students are sent narrated lectures and are expected to review them. A minimum of 50 hours are allowed for this portion.
  • EQ100: Equinology® Equine Body Worker Certification Course
This is the required onsite portion of the program. Students will spend at least 100 hours for this portion which includes the hands experience with the horses, the lectures onsite and the evening studies.
  • EEBW Externship and Case Studies
After the onsite portion, the student will complete the 250 hours of guided study once they leave the class. They are not required to follow another EEBW for this process. We do have a FB externship group to assist and answer questions as well as a month Zoom meeting. If need virtual tutoring is available.

Following the course, 8 months are allowed for the compulsory externship to be completed.
Please note: While it is not required that the EQ50 be completed before attending the EQ100, students must be very familiar with the vocabulary and skeletal system. The EQ50 final exam will need to be completed before the EEBW is issued.

Equinology® Equine Body Worker Level II (EEBWII)
974+ hours, including the EEBW Qualification

While this certification level is available only to EEBW graduates, the individual courses are open to all participants for continuing education. The EEBWII certification will be issued following successful completion of externships for all of the above courses.

Equinology® Equine Body Worker Level III (EEBWIII)
1741+ hours including the EEBW and EEBWII certifications

While this certification level is available only to EEBWII graduates, the individual courses are open to all participants for continuing education. The EEBWIII certification will be issued following successful completion of externships for all of the above courses.

Equinology® Equine Myofascial Release (EEMFR)
A good solid foundation in bodywork is essential, along with guided instruction from a teacher who understands the science behind the modality as well as appropriate application of the techniques. EEMFR certification is issued upon successful completion of the MFR Level 1 and Level 2 course externships, as well as the EEBW qualification. Applicants from an outside equine bodywork program with hours (320+) and content (covering the major muscles and points) comparable to the EQ100 are considered for this qualification; however, students coming in from other programs must first challenge the EEBW Certification Course. There is an administrative fee of $150 for this challenge and a video presentation is required. If you are from an outside bodywork program and wish to work toward your EEMFR qualification, it is highly recommended that you challenge the EEBW prior to taking either of the MFR courses.

Applicant must have also completed the following (or successfully challenge if from an outside program):

Caninology® Canine Body Worker (CCBW)
320+ hours with CN3005 and CN3000 externship

Please Note: While it is not required that students complete the CN3005 before attending the CN3000, students must be very familiar with the anatomical vocabulary and skeletal system. The CN3005 final exam must be completed before the CCBW certification is issued.

Caninology® Canine Body Worker Level II (CCBWII)
600+ hours including the CCBW certification

While this certification level is available only to CCBW graduates, the individual courses are open to all participants for continuing education. The CCBWII certification will be issued following successful completion of any associated externships for all of the above courses.
